Our Specialty Coffee

It is estimated that Ethiopia has over 10,000 varieties of coffee, including Yirgacheffe, Guji, Sidamo + many others. The varying coffee types give you the option of flavours that suit your taste.

We use high quality beans from the Yirgacheffe region in Southern Ethiopia, on family-owned farms. The beans are grown at an altitude of 1500 - 1800 metres, and provide a heavy, piney taste. Our coffee is listed at a Grade 2, and a Q factor of 86.

The coffee beans are hand-picked, and then washed using a double-wash method. The coffee cherries are sorted and then washed for 12-24 hours, before being rinsed and soaked again for another 24-48 hours. The extra effort taken to wash the beans again allows for a higher quality and cleaner taste of coffee.

Our yirgacheffe coffee beans give you a fragrance of bergamot, cumin, honey and chamomile, with an aroma of jasmine. Once you take a sip, you will taste the floral sweetness of the Ethiopian highlands right there in your own home.

To elevate our coffee, we have created a custom blend using spices to further enhance the flavour of the beans. We use this intensely aromatic spice to create a fragrant fusion of sweet coffee paired with the warm, sharp flavour of clove, really elevating your coffee break.
